The Maine Chapter of the National Football Foundation has been honoring football scholar-athletes for the past twenty-nine years. Over this time, 510 young men from the high schools, prep school and colleges have been recognized at our annual spring banquet. Each scholar-athlete in turn becomes a part of a national organization that includes 126 chapters and 12,000 members. All selected scholar-athletes will have their names inscribed at the new College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.
This year we will again be presenting $500 scholarships to each and every selected scholar-athlete. This is a result of a substantial gift from the Harold Alfond Foundation through the Mac-Huard Fund.
